Getting together to sing, dance and socialize was customary recreation for families in pre-television days. Family Sing revives this custom of old-fashioned songfests in the early evening hours, giving families the opportunity to make music and have fun with each other and with other families. Playing rhythm instruments, singing, dancing and playing musical games are all a part of the fun. Usually an hour long, Family Sings conclude with light refreshments. Leading Family Sing is Kay Barlow, director of Growing with Music Together.
